I get some questions about what I think is the best makeup starter kit. I did not really think much about it, when I started to wear makeup, I just bought the makeup I wanted.
But I also started wearing makeup very late, compared to other people at my age at the time. I first started wearing makeup when I was 15. And it was not until I was almost 17, I started having an interest in makeup.
So this is my idea of makeup starter kit:
Face:
My pick for a starter foundation this from Rimmel. I think that Rimmel has great foundations when it comes choosing a starter foundation. The Rimmel Match perfection is a beautiful foundation. I like the light to medium cover the foundation have. They have an okay great color selection, and you'll find a color that you can work with.
A powder that is great to people that want to start out with makeup is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in transparent. This powder really mattifies your face. I like the powder in transparent but you can also buy the powder with a hint of color.
A concealer that is great for beginners is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. This concealer is great for covering up everything. The dark circles under the eyes and the spots and blemishes that you may have. It blends really nice into the skin.
A brand that I think is amazing for blush is Sleek. Sleek blushes are cheap and the blushes are in amazing quality. The two colors that I will recommend is; Shude and Pixi Pink. Shude is a brownish-peachy color. This color adds a nice healthy look to the cheeks. Pixi Pink is a bright pink. But it is not that bright when you adds it onto the cheeks. Like the other blush it adds a nice healthy look to the cheeks. But the two colors adds on differently.
Eyes:
When I start out with makeup I did not wear eyeshadow, it was not until I was around 16 or 17 before I started to wear eyeshadow. But a nice cream eyeshadow for beginners or just makeup lover, in general, is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze and Vintage Plum. There two colors are very neutral colors and easy to wear. On and On Bronze is a nice bronzy shade and Vintage Plum is a plummy color. Both colors great for an everyday use.
If you want a great eyeliner for less money the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Eye Liners are amazing. I prefer the Nude, Black and Bronze ones. I like the nude as an eyeliner on the lower waterline and the black and bronze on the upper lash line.
A great mascara that everyone like is the Maybelline the Rocket mascara. You can not go wrong with this one. It gives volume and sits on the lashes of hours.
Lips:
When it comes to lips I would go on the lighter side of the lips range. When you starts out with makeup you are probably still in school. So you don't wake to go to school with a bright red lipstick. Some great lipstick that is more on the invisible side is the Revlon Lipbutters. I really like this lipstick for an everyday use it I just want a tint on my lips. The color that I would recommend is in the color Tutti Frutti. This color is a sheer orange color.
The Rimmel Moisture Renew in Vintage Pink (180) is great 'your lips but better' kind of color. If you are looking for an everyday color this is the one for you. The color is this mauve, deep dusty pink color.
Another great everyday lipstick is the Rimmel Kate Moss in color 05. The color of this lipstick is mauve-pink. It is not a bright pink. It is more of a soft pink that looks great on the lips.
This is my idea of a makeup starter kit. Hope you found this helpful if you are starting out with makeup. Or just in general.
