Have I ever told you guys that my favorite makeup item or makeup category is blush? Well, now you know. When I wear makeup I would never skip blush. I can skip bronzer and highlighter but never blush.
I have over the past years found my favorite blushes. You can differently see which blushes I go for more than others. I love pink and dusty rose kind of colors. I have narrowed it down to my absolutely favorites ones.
I do not have the many favorite or Holy Grail blushes from the drugstore but I have managed to find one brand that has some good blushes.
So let start with that brand that has done amazingly with the blushes.
A few years back Max Factor released some amazing blushes. I have five out of their 6 Creme Puff blushes and I am crazy about them! They are amazing in pigmentation and the texture is just fab. My two favorites are Lavish Mauve and Nude Mauve. They are very natural on my cheeks and they give a natural sheen on the cheeks. Lavish Mauve is a light pink color and Nude Mauve is a nude color with pinkish undertones.
The texture is very soft but not powdery at all, it feels like silk when you touch the product. If you go to the drugstore and wanted to buy a good blush from the drugstore I would recommend the Creme Puff Blushes.
On to a brand that has a ton of blushes, and a few of them have found the way to my heart. Back in the day, when I started to be interested in makeup, my first blush was from MAC. Since then my MAC blush collection has grown and I have found a few that I use a lot.
The first MAC blush I hit pan on is the color Rosy Outlook. This blush is a Pro Longwear Blush blush. The texture is soft and easy to work with. The pigmentation is good and it is easy to build the color. The color is a beautiful light peachy pink. It adds a fresh look to the checks.
The second blush is the color Blush All Day. This is also a Pro Longwear Blush. The color of this blush is one of my favorite blush colors. I have so many blushes that look like this. The color is a dusty rose color with a matte finish.
This has the same feeling, texture, and pigmentation as the Rosy Outlook blush have.
Now on to a blush that I absolutely love. I use the Hourglass Luminous Flush whenever I what to use something that I know works. I like the softness of the blush. It is a bit powdery but I really do not mind. The pigmentation of this blush is really great, it is easy to use and apply to the face.
The color is a light pink color but you can differently build it up.
Moving on to the last blush for this time we have a NARS blush. I have a few NARS blushes in my collection and the color Deep Throat is differently my favorite one. I like the texture of the blush, it is not powdery but it is not too harsh either. The pigmentation is beautiful it is not too pigmented but you can differently build it up.
The color is a beautiful light pink color with a sheen.
I am not the biggest fan of Orgasm from NARS I would recommend checking out Deep Throat. They are kind of the same colors, Deep Throat does not have glitter in it.
I adore these blushes and I would highly recommend all of the blushes.
Let me know in the comments which blush/blushes are your Holy Grail blushes!
Love, Caroline Mathilde
