I am always up for a good matte foundation, so if it have matte in the name I know that the foundation will be good for my skin type. I have normal to combination skin so a matte foundation is just the thing for my skin.
When I heard the British beauty people talk about this foundation I just needed to see if the Bourjois Air Mat Foundation is as good as the L'Oréal Infalibe 24H-Matte foundation.

First up I am really impressed with the packaging with this foundation. I really like that the Bourjois Air Mat Foundation comes in a squeeze tube. I think that you will get more of the products out in the end. I have had bottles where there still have been foundation in before throwing it out. So I have really happy that this foundation comes in a squeeze tube.

The texture of the Bourjois Air Mat Foundation is very interesting. It is a light, very loose liquid that blends into the skin fast and quickly transforms into a powdery finish. Like I mentioned earlier I have normal to combination skin so a matte foundation is always sweet music in my ears.

Once the foundation is applied onto the skin I really like the finishes, the way the foundation feel on the skin, and the coverage that this foundation gives.
The foundation claims: 'As light as air, the formula glides onto the skin for perfect coverage & a flawless complexion. Enriched with mattifying micronized powders, it eliminates shine with no mask effect' (from the back of the foundation).  I can only agree with the things that the foundations claims. It really feels like a lightweight foundation but at the same time gives a good coverage. On my skin it doesn't feel sticky or too matte.
Also after using this for a while I noticed that my skin didn't go oily as quick as with other foundations. This foundation wear matte on my skin for around 8 hours. With the 8 hours of lasting power I have primed my face before and also powdered after application of the foundation.

But I do have a few things that I don't like about the foundation. The first thing is the color. I think that this foundation is a bit to orange/ too yellow in its undertones. I have pink undertones in my skin so you can really see that it is yellow in this foundation once it is applied on the skin. The second thing is that it clings in the dry patches I have on my face. It really enhances the dry patches on my face which I am not a big fan of. But the yellow undertones to this foundation I can work with with applying concealer to brighten and powder that match my real skintone.

I would say that the Bourjois Air Mat Foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation, it is easy to build up without looking to cakey or enlarges pores. But it do cling in the dry patches you may have.

You can buy the Bourjois Air Mat Foundation here from Boots and costs £9.99.
