This past weekend it was the big 'love day'. As you guys know or don't know I am single so Valentine's Day for me was without a boy. Instead of spending the day with a boy I spend it with some of my really good friends. We had an amazing day, had lovely dinner, some great wine and of course we laugh our lungs out.
So I thought that I would show you guys what I had on my face this day.

Base:
At the moment I have great skin so I didn't want to use a foundation. I used a concealer and a powered with some coverage in instead.
The concealer I used was the MAC Studio Finish Concealer. I used this for covering up any blemishes that I had or redness in my skin.
For powder, I used the MAC Studio Fix powder. I used this to make the concealer hold all day long and to adds powder on the places that I didn't use and concealer or foundation.
To bronze up my face, I used the bronzer from the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette. I used this to give my face a bit of sun glow.
For blush, I used the MAC Modest Blush. This one is from the Holliday collection 2014. The color is a really light pink color, just gives the cheeks a nice fresh flush.

Eyes:
To make my eyeshadow stay on all day I used the Primer Potion from Urban Decay. I have not found another eyeshadow primer that makes my eyeshadow stay on as long as this one does.
Because it was Valentine's Day I thought that I would go with some pink toned eyeshadows and for that, I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I a few of the eyeshadow to create my Valentine's Day eye look.
I fist started with Strange all over my lids. Strange is a matte beige color. Then I took Dust and Buzz all over my lids over Strange. I wanted to create a pinky-sparkly look with these two colors. Both of the colors is pink with chunky glitter in. Dust is a light pink and Buzz is a rosy pink.
To define my crease and blend out the two pinks I used Limit. Limit is a matte tan pink and blended out perfectly with the other colors.
The last two colors that I used was Factory and Darkside. I used these two to darken the look. I blended these two colors into the outer corner and blended them into the crease as well. Factory is a pinky-brown and Darkside is a cool-toned purple taupe.
To finish my eye makeup I used a mascara. I used the Max Factor Clump Defy mascara. I started using this last week and I really like this mascara. It gives my lashes volume and length. I like mascaras that do both thinks in one mascara.
For brows, I used the Soap & Glory Archery. This is the drugstore version of the Anastasia Brow Wiz. It really likes that the product is so precisely as it is. It makes the whole brow thing a lot easier.

Lips:
For lips, I went with a nude kind of color because I have something going on in the eye area. The lipstick I went with was the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Rush. This color is a mauve pink color. This color is one of those 'your lips but better' kind of color.

How did you spend your Valentine's Day?

Love, Caroline Mathilde
