This book has been on my mind for so long, but never thought about reading it. When I was in London I finally bought this book.

"The Perks of Being A Wallflower" is a story from Stephen Chbosky. The story is about Charlie, a freshman in high school. And he is not one of the popular kids in school.

Stephen Chbosky has written a great story here. That Charlie writes letters to an anonymous reader that are known as "Friend", through these letters Charlies tells this "Friend" everything that goes on in his life and what he feels, the new people he meets and his loved ones. I like the idea of writing letters, it is like reading someones dairy. That give me a look into Charlies life. He is very shy and I think that all people can find a little bit of Charlie inside them self. Every one have been shy in some way in their life.

When You read the story you will laugh, maybe cry and then keep reading on. Charlie tells and show you that high school can be enjoyed id you have the right friends and the journey that you goes through in high school.

The description on the back of the book:
"And while he's not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it.

Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mix tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. But he can't stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up"

I have not finished this book yet, I am half way through. But I am in love with this book. I really wants to watch the movie, but I need to read the book first.
I would definitely recommend checking out this book.

Have you read any thing great lately? Do you have any book recommendations?
