Like all beauty-obsessed people, I am forever in search of my the Holy Grail products. I love finding my favorite products from the different categories. So I thought over the newt few weeks I will share my favorite beauty products in all of the categories.

Holy Grail Beauty Products | Base Caroline Mathilde

For me, Holy Grail products are the amazing products that you cannot imagine living without. I like finding a product that works and that I like.

Luckily I find these products through recommendations or try new products. I have come across a few over the past few years of being a beauty junkie.

Today, like the title mentioned is going to be all about my favorite base products. One of my favorite makeup products is concealers, so I do try a lot of them. I have been lucky to find some favorite ones.

I will start with primers and work my way to powders.

I have over the past year or two found some amazing primers and some that I use every day.
Two our of the three that I am going to share with you, are recomendations from other people, and the last one is something I got as a sample once and after that was hooked on this primer.
I bought the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil Free on one of my trips to London. I bought this on recommendations of someone and I just needed to check it out. I really like this one, because it is not one of those silicone primers, it is like a cream that you put on your face and it sinks into the skin fast. My makeup lasted the whole day, which is what I want in a primer. This one is differently something I will continue to use when I am out of it.
The last product that was recommended to me, are the NYX Angel Veil primer. I really want to try the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer, but that price of that one is just expensive, but I have heard that this one is a good dupe for that one. And do I love this primer? The answer is YES. I like the way this primer makes the face feel and how that makeup applies on top of it. This primer leaves the skin feeling silky smooth. It does come out as a white cream that leaves a slightly white SHINE on the face but you do not see it when you first have applied makeup.
The final primer is the Pixi Flawless & Poreless primer. This was an incredible find for me. This is really nice on the skin. It leaves a nice and healthy glow on the skin but nothing too much. It smoothens over the pores and kind making them invisible. Makeup applied so beautifully on top of this primer.

Now moving on to foundations. Both of my Holy Grail foundations is from the drugstore. I have not found THE one in the high-end category. The two foundations does two different things, one of them is a glowy foundation and the other on is a matte foundation.
A few years back I bought the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation because everyone and their mother talked about this foundation and loved it. And then I tried it and I completely agreed with the hype. I love the formula of this foundation, the finish and the coverage. It is quit glowy and I normally do not like glowy foundations but this one is just really fab. I highly recommend checking this one out. In the beginning of this year Bourjois reformulated this foundation and I have not tried this one yet. But I have heard that they have only improved it and made it better. So I am looking forward to trying the new formulation.
The second foundation is the L'Oréal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation. I am obsessed with this foundation. I love a good matte foundation. This have great coverage, a natural finish on the skin and is long lasting. I love the feeling this leaves on my skin and how long it last on my oil skin type. The finish on the foundation is matte and slightly powdery. With this foundation I use a translucent powder because this really does not need any full coverage powder.

Now it is time for my favorite concealers. I love a good concealer and I have found a few really great concealers. I have one high-end and one drugstore.
The high-end one is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. I love this concealer. I love that it is high coverage and hydrating at the same time. I use it on blemishes, redness and under dark circles under my eyes. It stays on my face all day and covers really nicely.
The drugstore one is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This concealer is one of the best drugstore ones I have every tried. This covers so beautifully. I use this one on the blemishes that I might have. It is not drying on my skin but it is not to hydrating, it is a thing in between.

The last product category we are going through is powders. I have a high-end and a drugstore product. These two powders do two different things. One is a mattifying one and the other one has more coverage.
First up is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I have used this powder for as long as I remember. I really love this powder and I mean is it only xx! I use the translucent one. I use this product whenever I have a full coverage foundation on and I want to mattify my face. This primer keeps my face matte and it is also good to use for touch up during the day.
The other primer is the MAC Studio Fix powder. I use this powder if I do not wear foundation and only covers my blemishes and redness with concealer. This powder has a beautiful full coverage finish. I like the look of this powder. I also like to take this one with me on the go,  if I have a long day of doing stuff and my makeup needs to be on my face looking pretty all day long.

So this was my Holy Grail base products. Whenever I run out of these products I buy them the second they are out or before hands. Often it is before hand.
Next time I am sharing my Holy Grail blushes!
