Lately I have really been into wearing a light base, and the main reason why is that my skin have it great at the moment. I recently bought the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream mainly because I have heard so many good things about it so to be honest I just needed to see what all the fuzz was about.
First up is the packaging. It is simple and elegant to look at. The product comes in squeeze tube so the product is really easy to get out. It is more easy to deal with when it comes in a packaging like this than a glass bottle or something like that.
When I use this product I feel like I get a really natural look and my skin can show through. The name implies that Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream is a Gel Cream. The consistency is a gel so it feels funny first applied on the skin. It feels more slippery on the skin that other tinted moisturizer. I prefer to apply this with my fingers, this is the way I feel like getting the best result. Once it is applied on the skin it is super glowy so if you are not into that my may need to powder a bit.
The Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrrating Gel Cream moisturize the skin and lets the skin feel more fresh and ready for the day. The Complexion Rescue is good during the summer because of the glow and it have SPF 30.
For coverage I feel like this have a light coverage which something that I want from a product sometimes. It doesn't cover the redness or the blemishes you may have. I often use a concealer after using this product to cover up my redness and maybe the blemishes I have at the time of use.
To be honest the first time I use this product I was a bit unsure whether this would give my skin the coverage I wanted, or that it would look too shiny. And to be even more honest it is so shiny on my skin for I have to powder after use. My skintype is normal to combination.
I have mine in the color 01 Opal which is a great color match for me. Like I mentioned earlier after application I use a mattifying powder to stay matte all day. After application, the Complexion Rescue last on my skin for around 7-8 hours.
I really like that this hydrate my skin and at the same time gives my skin a little bit of coverage. You can differently wear this without a moisturizer underneath, so it don't feel like you have a lot of hydrating products on your face.
You can get this at Boots.com or feelunique.com and the price tag is £26.
