A new year has begun. And the new yeas has not just begun but a hole new chapter in my life has begun. It is the end of January now and that means that it is time for a new favorites.
This month I don't have that many favorites. Some of the favorite that I have like for this month are stuff from last month. But there are some stuff that have managed to get into my favorites this month.

Lets start with some eye stuff first.
Last year, when I was in London, I bought this palette. I have been in a Inglot before but I had never bought some of the Inglot products. I build my own palette in Inglot. The palette is the Freedom System and it contains five eyeshadows. All of the eyeshadows in this palette are neutral colors. A great everyday palette.

The second eye product is from MAC. Like I have said in the past I am a big fan of MAC. I have never tired any of the eyeliners before I bought this in the fall. I have heard so many great things the Eye Kohl in Teddy. This eyeliner is the most beautiful dark bronzy color. I use this on the upper lash line. I really like the effect that it gives. And then I am not the best friends with the liquid black eyeliner yet.

The last product that I have been loving this month it the MAC Sunny Seoul lipstick. This lipstick is my first MAC lipstick and I have loved it since I bought it. The color is sheer-bright pink color. You can wear it as a light pink but you can still see that the lipstick is there or you can build the color up to you have the color that you want on your lips.

This was all of the product that I have loved this past month.

What have you favorite product been this past month?

In the same order where I ordered the Rose Golden Luxury Set I also ordered this set. When I was waiting for that brush set to come back in stock, I saw this brush set. It is the same style, the rose gold style. I really like these brushes, they are so feminine looking.

Rose Golden Complete Eye Set (price 65€)
In this set there are 10 eye brushes. Like the other rose gold set, the quality of these brushes is amazing. They are really soft and don't irritate the eyes at all.
This set also comes with natural and synthetic brushes. I really like that there are so many different brushes in this set.
The brushes comes in a travel bag, in brown and with rose gold details.

142 Concealer Buffer: a brush that would be used for concealer on blemishes.
224 Luxe Defined Crease: a brush that would blend eyeshadow lightly in the crease.
226 Smudger: a brush that would be perfect for blending eyeshadow along the lash line.
227 Luxe Soft Definer: first thing a dupe for the MAC 217 brush. This brush is the perfect blending brush.
228 Luxe Crease: a brush that blends eyeshadow easily
230 Luxe Pencil: a brush that would be great for applying eyeshadow in a precise area and it would also be great for applying eyeshadow on the lash line.
231 Luxe Petit Crease: a brush that would be perfect for accentuating and blending in the crease
234 Luxe Smoky Shader: a nomad eyeshadow brush just to apply eyeshadow.
237 Detail Shader: a brush that would be good for detailed and precise application of eyeshadow.
315 Fine Liner: a brush that would be great for applying eyeliner on both the upper and lower lash line.
317 Wing Liner: a brush that would be great for doing a eyeliner and a wing as well.
322 Brow Line: a brush that you don't normally thing that you would use for the brows but it is amazing for applying brow product.

If you want a brush set that have almost every thing for the eyes, I would take a look at this brush set. This brush set have every thing that you could think of when it comes to buying eyeshadow brushes.
definitely recommend this brush set to someone that are just starting out with makeup or someone that loves makeup brushes and just want more.

I have talked about the Naked palette and the Naked 2 palette so why not talk about the Naked 3? And talking about the naked 3 palette is what I am going to do today.

I bought this last year at my trip to London last winter. And I will say that I have not used this palette that much since I bought it. But that is some thing that I will be changing this year.

The packaging is similar to the Naked 2 which is very sturdy. I really like that this packaging is a dusty pink color.
Like the two other Naked palettes there are 12 eyeshadows inside this palette. I like that there are so many different eyeshadows in one palette. This palette comes with a large mirror like the Naked 2.

I have talked about the formula in the two other Naked reviews but I will say it again. The formula/texture of these eyeshadows is AMAZING! They are so buttery and very easy to work with. And they blends so nicely.

All of the eyeshadows in this palette is more on the pinky side. And this is why I have not used this palette as much as I have used the other two Naked palettes. I just don't know how to work with pink toned eyeshadows yet. But as soon as I finds out how to work with theses eyeshadows I will use this more!

The shades:
Strange: a matte beige with a hint of pinky undertones
Dust: a very shimmery pale pinky-peachy with glitter
Burnout:  a peachy-pinky satin
Limit: a matte tan pink
Buzz: a slightly shimmery rosy color
Trick: a pinky-copper with shimmer
Nooner: a cool matte taupe
Liar: a satin pinky-mauve
Factory: a pinky-brown satin
Mugshot: a medium-dark, warm-toned taupe with a frosted metallic finish
Darkside: a cool-toned purple taupe with a pearl finish
Blackheart: a deep, blackened burgundy with reddish-brown undertones with red micro-shimmer

This palette is not like the other two palettes. This one is more pink toned than the other two. I like that they make something different this time instead of during another neutral eyeshadow palette.
If you like your pinky toned eyeshadow this palette is definitely something for you.

Love, Caroline Mathilde.

A couple of weeks ago I discovered the Essie Luxeffect in Summit of Style. And ever since i bought it, I have been loving it.

The glitter pieces there is in the nail polish are rose golden. And I really like the idea of a nail polish like this.

This time I paired the Summit of Style with another Essie nail polish in Find Me At Oasis. This color is a really light pastel blue kind of color.

I really liked the light nail polish underneath the rose golden glitter one. This combination is a really winter combination in my eyes.

From this day of I will do some thing called 'Little Things'. Basically this is going to be what I have been up to over the past weeks.
I will do these kinds of post for my self, but also to left you guys into my life a little bit more.
I will just be looking at the little thing and be thankful for those little things.
At this moment there will be a 'Little Things' post up every two weeks and maybe in the future there will be one every week? (something that I will be working on ;) ).
Doing these kinds if post I will remind my self of those everyday moments that I should be thankful for, both situations or things that make me happy.
It's usually something I bought, experienced, eaten or seen that find their way to these posts and it can be anything from having a great time with my family to movies that makes my happy and laugh. Or the other things that have made me happy over the last few weeks.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been sick a lot and that means that I have spend a lot of time in bed. And the means that nothing fun or exciting have happen.

I hope that you look forward to read these post, I will be looking forward to do one of these every two weeks.

Last week I did a review on the Urban Decay Naked original Naked palette so I thought that I would do a review on the Naked 2 palette.

Like the original Naked palette this palette have 12 amazing shades and a full-length mirror going across the top. All of the eyeshadows are buttery and smooth to apply just like the eyeshadows in the original palette. And lets not talk about the pigmentation of this palette. It is AMAZING!
Like in the original Naked palette this palette have a mixture of different texture/finishes. This is one of the thing that I love about these palettes, there are some thing for every occasion.

The packaging has changed from the original Naked palette. I like the metal tin packaging it makes it look more simple and sleek. I kind go like that kind of packaging but I also like the girly looking packaging.

Like I said there are 12 eyeshadows in this palette. There are three matte in this palette (foxy, tease and blackout). The rest of them there are shimmer in the eyeshadows. If I could choose one color that I would not have in this palette, I would choose blackout and that is because I hardly use a matte black eyeshadow. They could replace it with a lighter darker color, if that makes sense.
I love that they put a matte highlighter shade in this palette instead of a glittery one.
This palette have some great natural shades in this palette and it also have some golden toned eyeshadows witch is amazing for warming up a look.

The shades:
Foxy: a matte pale yellowed beige
Half Baked: a golden toned bronze
Bootycall: a champange pinky color
Chopper: a mefium orange-red toned coppery color
Tease: a matte dirty mauve-brown
Snakebite: a dark bronzy color with a dirty golden shimmer
Suspect: a champangey-bronzy color
Pistol: a greyish-brown color
Verve: a gary-slivery color with pinky undertones
YDK: a warm coppery red toned medium brown
Busted: a burgundy, deep brown
Blackout: a really intense matte black

Comparing this to the original Naked palette, the Naked 2 contains more light metallic shades as well as more medium taupey colors. The original palette have more warm toned eyeshadows. I will be honest and say that I like the original Naked palette. There are just more 'me colors' in that palette. But with that said I really like some of the shades in this palette and some other of the colors a miss for me and I don't use that as much as I should.

Have you tried any go the Urban Decay Naked palettes? And if you have which one did you prefer?

I have been wanting these brushes for ages but every time I went to the Zoeva website they were out of stock, until a couple of weeks ago I went to Zoevas website and I didn't blink before I bought them. I have heard so many great things about these brushes from a lot of people. And I knew from the first sight that I needed these brushes in my life.

Rose Golden Luxury Set (price 65€)
In the set there are 8 brushes and a great travel bag. The quality of these brushes is amazing. These brushes reminds me of the Sigma brushes or other popular makeup brush brands in quality. The brushes are also really soft and even after washing they are still soft.
The brush set comes with both natural and synthetic bristles brushes. The synthetic brushes works best for me because they work really well with both powder and cream products.
They are really easy to work with and they wash really nicely.

Have you tried any of the Zoeva brushes?

A few days ago I saw Estée from EssieButton do her Goals For 2015 video and she has a goal that she will read 12 books in this year. So I thought that I would do the same thing.
I have found some of the 12 books that I will be reading this year. I will also do an update during this process.
The first three books I will be reading are the Fifty Shades Trilogy. I am in the process of reading the first book. And that is mainly because I want to read the book before I see the movies next month.
I will also be reading some of John Green books. I have read two of his books so now I have the rest of the books to read.
Another author whose books I am going to read is Jojo Moyes books. My sister have told me great things about there books. So I want to give her a go as well.

So here is a little overview of the book that I will be reading over the next couple of months:
Fifty Shades of Gray by E. L. James
Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James
Fifty Shades Freed by E. L. James
Paper Towns by John Green
Looking for Alaska by John Green
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes

There books are some of the books that I really want to read during this year and hopefully I will read all of them.

So if you guys have any recommendation for books let me know and I will check them out.

Every month I share with you what I will be focusing on for that month when it comes to makeup. So I thought that I would show you guys what I use in the shower in the moment. I change my shower routine about every two months.

Hair wash:
For hair wash I use four types of product. Two shampoos and two conditioner. I don't use them all at the same time, but I change between them every other day.
The first combination that I use are the Garnier Goodbye Damage. I use this to make my damage hair look healthy. My hair fall out very easily and I thought that I would give this one a go. I have been using this for a while now and I can see a difference.

The other combination that I use are from Aussie and are the Miracle Shine. I use this to give my hair some shine here in the winter time. My hair can really easily look really boring and damaged. But with this my hair looks so much healthy.

Once a week I use a hair mask but at the moment I don't have any so I you guys have any recommendation for a hair mask let me know.

Showergel:
When it comes to shower gel I don't go for any particular shower gel. I just use what every we have in my house. But at the moment I am using the Nivea Creme Soft shower gel. This shower gel does the job. It washes my body which is needed in a shower gel.

After showering (lotion):
After I am finish with taking my shower I use a body lotion. I have used this body lotion before and I really like this body lotion. The Dove Silky Nourishment Body Cream really sinks into my skin so fast. I apply it and a minute or two after the moisturizer are in my skin.

These things are what I keep in my shower and things I use after the shower. Like I said I swap my shower things up every few months.  I also wash my face in the shower.

I have been wanting to try the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks for the longest time. And last week I finally bought some of the shades. I went with four for the shades.
The first thing there are about hoses lipstick is the packaging is this beautiful. The purple gunmetal bullet is amazing.

The lipsticks are extremely pigmented and the color really stays on the lips for a long time.
The lipsticks are non-scented which I find really great considering other lipstick on the market.
The lipsticks are describe as "Creamy Badass Luxury", because the are super pigmented, ultra creamy, and long lasting.

These are the four color that I have:
Rush is a mauve pink. It is one of those 'your lips but better' kind of color. This will be one of my go to everyday lipsticks.
Lovelight is a pale peachy pink with shimmer. This is also a great everyday nude is you just want a hint of color. This lipstick does not give my lips that much color, which is okay.
Streak is a coral pink. It is not a bright coral but more on the lighter side. Perfect for Spring and Summer.
Bang is a straight up orange red. I really like these kinds of lipsticks for the summertime. And the pigmentation is ridiculous amazing.

All of the lipstick have a glossy finish. Not super glossy but just with a little tint of gloss.

Overall I am super happy with these lipsticks. And after trying four of the shades I really want to try more of the shades from the range. All of the lipstick feel great on the lips and have great pigmentation. And they have a really great shade range. I really recommend these lipstick to everyone, because there are a lipstick for everyone in this range.

Have you tried any of the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick? And if you a´have what did you think about them?

A little late with this one, but I really wanted to share this one with you guys.
So this is the makeup that I wore at New Years Eve. I wore it very simple with a grate base that would last all night and a neutral eye. I just wanted to keep it very simple.

Base: I decided to go back to an old favorite of mine. I have loved the Mac Pro Longwear foundation for ages. And I decided to give it another go. On my skin this foundation have a medium to full coverage foundation.
For concealer I used the MAC Studio Finish Concealer. Yet another MAC product that I love. I used this on the blemishes that I had that day. It is just amazing for covering up what I need to be covered.
For the dark circles under my eyes I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles. This product is amazing for covering up those bad boys under the eyes and at the same time brighten up the under eyes.
For powder I used the MAC Studio Fix powder. This powder gives that extra coverage. I sometimes need that on my face and this night was one of those nights.
For bronzer I used the bronzer that I love at the moment. I used the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette, but only the bronzer. It just give my skin a nice bronzy glow.
The blush I used Bobbi Brown blush in Apricot. I used this blush because I wanted a neutral looking blush but at the same time to add some color. And this blush was perfect for that.
And last but not least the highlighter that I used. I used the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. Again a product that are neutral on the skin. This highlighter just leaves the skin with the most beautiful neutral glow.

Eyes: Like I said earlier I kept my eye makeup every simple.
I fist started by using a primer. The primer that I used are from Urban Decay. This primer makes my eyeshadow stay on all day long. This is my go to primer when it comes to eye primer.
I only used three eyeshadows. All of the are from MAC. I started by using Vanilla all over the lid. Then I took Sable and blended that into my crease and on the outer corner of my eye. The last eyeshadow I used was Nylon. I used this as a highlighter in the inner corner of my eye and I also used it on the brow bone.
I used two eyeliners. I used the Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude on the waterline. Just to wake up the eye a bit. Then I used the MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy as a eyeliner as a lash liner. This eyeliner is great with Sable.
For brows I used the Soap & Glory Archery. This is the drugstore version of the Anastasia Brow Wiz. It really like that the product is so precisely as it is. It makes the hole brow thing a lot easier.
I used two mascaras. This combination is one of my favorite ones. I first apply the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara to give my lashes length and then I apply the Lancome Hypnôse Star Mascara to give my lashes some volume.

Lips: I also wanted to keep the lips simple, so I used a kind of berry nude color with a lipgloss to add a glossy finish. The lips base that I used are the Maybelline Color Drama in Keep It Classy. This color is a wine-berry nudeish color.
The lipgloss that I used is also from Maybelline and is Color Sensational Shine Gloss in Cashmere Rose. This color is a peachy color. I didn't add that much gloss, but enough to have a glossy finish.

So this was all of the things that I had on my face for New Years Eve. I like this look for any occasion it is just my go to look.

Urban Decay does some amazing eyeshadows. I really love the Naked palette series.
Today I will talk about the original Naked palette.

In the Naked palette there are 12 shades. All of the shades are neutral shades.
There are 10 shimmery shades and two matte shades. I don't have a problem with the lack of mate shades, but there could be more the just two matte shades. But I really love the palette over all.

And lets just talk about the packaging for a second. I really love the velvety chocolate brown packaging. This makes the packaging look very sleek and sophisticated.

I am a neutral eyeshadow kind of girl and this is the perfect neutral palette. The palette is really warm toned. I think that warm neutral tones eyeshadows suit every kinds of skin type.
I found that these eyeshadows are very easy to work with. They blend very nicely and stays on the lids for hours with a eyeshadow primer.
Lastly you can not forget the formula of these eyeshadows. The texture are very buttery and smooth. They are not powdery so I found that there are no fall outs as much if they were powdery and the pigmentation is amazing. The swatting does not give the pigmentation any justice.
In the palette there are a mixture of different texture/finishes with a range from matte, satin, sparkly/glittery and shimmery.

The shades:
Virgin: a pale, shimmered nude beige
Sin: a champagne with a touch of pink
Naked: a mate medium beeige-brown
Sidecar: ashimmered, medium bronze brown
Buck: a warm matte brown
Half Baked: a gold toned bronze
Smog:a golden brown with shimmer
Darkhorse: a dark deep chocolate brown
Toasted: a medium dak oinky brown with a shimmery finish
Hustle: a dark plummy chocolate brown with shimmer
Creep: a black metallic
Gunmetal: a blue gray metallic

This Naked palette is my favorite of all three Naked palettes. I like that there are so many great neutrals in one palette. And the pigmentation of these eyeshadows are amazing. I really recommend this palette to every one that like a great neutrals palette.

Have you tried any of the Naked palettes? And witch ones are your favorites?

If you can get you hands on the palette I would do that. I will recommend this palette to every one that like neutral eyeshadows.

For lips I will focusing on using two product. I have loved the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pocker in Nudist since I bought back in September. The color is a nude brownish color. It have a glossy finish so it is very glossy and very creamy.
The other color it the Maybelline Intense Velvet Lip Pencil. The product is matte but a little bit of glossy finish to it. The color is a reddish plum color. I really like this color for the winter months.

I am a blush lover to my heart. And I specially love MAC blushes.
The two blushes I will be focusing on this month are the Desert Rose and Melba.
Desert Rose i a dusty rose color. I really like the color this leaves on the cheeks.
Melba is a warm very light coral-peachy color. I also like the color this leaves on the cheeks. I like the coral-peachy color that it leaves.

A little late with this post but I have been in bed ever since New Year's Eve.
But first of all I hops you all had a wonderful New Years Eve. I had an amazing New Year's Eve. Even though I was on the way on being sick, I had a wonderful time.
But I thought that I wound show you the nails that I had on New Year's Eve.

I had two nail polishes on, like the nails I had on Christmas Eve.
I had a dark blue as a base color and a gold glitter nail polish as a top coat.

The bas color I had on are from Essie. The color is Butler Please and it is just a dark blue color. I really like this nail polish but I don't use it as much as I should.

The top coat is from L'Oréal. The color is 910 Gold Carat. This nail polish is a top coat with gold glitter pieces.

I really like nail combinations like this.

What did you have one your nails on New Year's Eve? And did you have a great New Year's Eve?
