I was baking this snickers cake for my  grandmothers birthday in the start of the month. The recipe is very easy, but you have to do with caramel. But when the cake is finished it taste amazing!
There are three parts to this cake. There is the bottom, the middle and the top.

The bottom:
200g softened butter
400g sugar
3 eggs
400g flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons peanut butter
250g peanuts (salted)

The middel (caramel):
1 ½ cups whipped cream
1 ½ cups syrup
3 tablespoons cocoa
3 cups sugar
1 vanilla pod
75 g of butter

The top (Chocolate Ganache):
250 g dark chocolate
½ cup whipped cream
25 g of butter

1. Whisk the soft butter with sugar until is it fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, whip well between each egg. Whisk in the peanut butter in. Mix flour and baking powder and add it to the butter mixture.
Spread the dough in a medium roasting pan (25 × 35 cm) lined with baking paper and pour over the peanuts over the dough. Press them slightly into the dough. Bake at 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes. It must be exactly baked through.

2. While the cake bakes, made the caramel: Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes.
When you have taking the cake bottom out of the oven, prick the bottom with a carving fork to just a fork, then drilling holes where the caramel can run down. Pour the caramel over the hot bottom, and let the cake cool completely in the chocolate poured over. I let the bottom and the caramel cool of for about three hours outside. You can also put the cake in the refrigerator.

3. For ganache: come the butter, cream and chopped chocolate in a bowl, put in the microwave for 1 minute. Then stir the chocolate well till it is melted. Pour the ganache over the cold cake and leave to set for an hour. Cut the cake into small squares (like brownies) and server.
I let the cake stand in the refrigerator over night, but you can do whatever you want to do with it, just serve the cake cold.

I love snickers and this cake tastes exactly like a snickers. I you make this cake let me know by tweeting to me at MathildeCaroline or tagging me on instagram @carolinemathildeo.
