I have lived out on my own for a few months now and I will say that there have been things that I needed to do by myself. Some things have been nice and some have not been that nice.
I have made a little list of the things that I have learn over the past few months.

  • No one buys the toilet paper for you, you have to buy is yourself.
  • It is clever to make food that can be put in the freezer for meal prepping.
  • But your refrigerator is almost always emptied
  • And figuring out what to eat every day is not fun.
  • Cleaning takes time.
  • And you have to spot clean your apartment almost every day.
  • You have to do everything yourself.
  • You will miss your parents and appreciate everything that they have ever done for you.
  • You don't really get your salary before you have paid; rent, food, insurance and much more before you get the right salary.

There are also a lot of good things about moving out on your own but you will have them another time.

Love, Caroline Mathilde.
